Špalek Winery

Špalek winery is a family-owned organic winery. Founded in 1992, we are proud to have three generations of winemakers working together to combine tradition and innovation. All of our wines are made from our own grapes, which come from the vineyards on Kraví hora near Znojmo. We have 12 hectares of vineyards farmed organically and partially biodynamically since 2012. However, we’re not just planting vineyards on Kraví hora—we’re also growing old varieties of fruit trees. We are the only ones in the area building observation towers, insect hotels and birdhouses, hanging swings, and even erecting menhirs. To us, a love for nature is everything. We’re founding members of the VOC Znojmo and Šaldorfské sklepy associations. In 2014 and 2024, we received the Winery of the Year award among small wineries in the Czech Republic.
