Getting to Tarragona
Air
Barcelona International Airport (also known as El Prat de Llobregat Aeropuerto or Aeroport de Barcelona) is the airport with most flights. The airport has 2 terminals: Terminal 1 (T1) and Terminal 2 (T2B). Reus Airport is closer to Tarragona but has less flights – mostly from the UK. Both airports have bus links direct to Tarragona leaving you next the event venue. Buses (BusPlana is the name of the bus company) leave from Terminal 1 & 2 every 60-90 mins and from Reus Airport (Monbus).
Train
Trains (Cercanias) run every half hour from Barcelona Airport. Take the train from the Renfe station from Terminal 2 and get off at Sants Estació (journey time approx 20 minutes). You can then get a train from Sants Estacío to Tarragona. Tarragona has two stations. Camp de Tarragona (RENFE AVE – SNCF) is served by high speed trains and is about 10 kms out of the city. The second one is next to the city centre with links to regional trains (to Barcelona, Tortosa, Reus and Lleida), as well as national and internal long-distance trains (to Valencia, Andalucia, Madrid and France).
Car
The city is connected by the AP-7 motorway and N-340 carriageway from Barcelona and Valencia. It is also possible to drive to Lleida, Zaragoza and Madrid, taking the N-240 and picking up the AP-2 motorway at Montblanc. The N-420 carriageway goes to Reus and Teruel. The venue hotel has a private car park but it is not free. Free street parking is a challenging task. Check Google maps before travelling.
