Denis graduated from the School of Economics in Buje with secondary study in language instruction. Since 1999, Denis has been on faculty in Trieste teaching Italian (Facolta’ di Lettere e Filosofia dell’Universita’ degli Studi di Trieste). He is both knowledgeable and fluent in Italian, German, English, Spanish and Slovene.
Since 2002, he has been a correspondent of several publications and gastro guides. Denis has completed courses and obtained sommelier credentials for wine, prosciutto, and the indigenous plant for which the Istra Peninsula has become known, truffles. Denis currently works as the Director of the Istra Tourism Board.
