National Wine Centre
The National Wine Centre is a non-profit organisation, whose objective is the promotion and support of wine and viticulture of the Czech Republic. The main activity is operating of the permanent wine tasting exhibition - the Wine Salon of the Czech Republic. Visitors can taste here the top 100 Czech wines of the year. The exposition is located in the Valtice castle, an integral part of the Lednice-Valtice Area listed by UNESCO. Other activities are publishing and distribution of information and promotional materials about Czech wine and winemaking, wine tourism ('Land of Wine' brochures and maps), presentation at tourism trade fairs and similar events in the Czech Republic and abroad. It also organizes the Grand Prix Vinex international wine competition.
