As a manager for cultural tourism in the Czech National Tourism Board, Jana is responsible for marketing activities in the field of culture and gastronomy and developing new tourism products following international travel trends. With Czechia not having been a well-known wine travel destination until now, Jana has been working on bringing international attention of both tourists and travel trade to Czech winemaking and the amazing wine and gastronomic experiences this hidden gem destination in the heart of Europe offers.
Jana together with Sarka Nadvornikova will be delivering a talk at IWINETC 2023 as follows:
Czech Wine Escapes: Where Wine Pairs with Folklore, Heritage and Design
In the heart of Europe, in the country famous for beer, you will find unexpected but all the more exciting wine experiences drawing from two-thousand-year-old winemaking tradition. With most of the wine production concentrated in the south-east of the country, the picturesque region of Moravia has it all – folkloric wine alleys, old castle wine cellars as well as modern design wineries, laced by a picturesque landscape with castles and historic towns. To fully appreciate what this hidden-gem destination has to offer, the destination presentation will be followed by a Czech Wine Masterclass.
