The Catalan Tourist Board purpose is to promote Catalonia as a leading tourist destination based on quality and the social and economic profitability of the tourism industry. Catalonia boasts a winemaking heritage dating back 2000 years in history. At over 65,000 hectares of vineyards and an annual output above 380 millions of bottles of wine and cava (sparkling wine), Catalonia is a wine tourist destination with a considerable potential. Wine tourism can be enjoyed in any of Catalonia’s twelve denominations of origin, which give an insight into a diverse, attractive landscape, from breeze-swept vineyards by the seaside to those extending over the large inland plains or climbing up the slopes. Year-round proposals include visits to over 300 wine cellars, strolls through vineyards, rich heritage to enjoy as well as wine and food pairing. Twelve denominations of origin certify the quality of Catalan wines and structure the offer in wine tourism.

Vines are a fixture of the landscape of the Province of Barcelona. No fewer than five DO allow travellers to enjoy the pleasures of wine and the surrounding countryside.

The Wine Roads Of Northern Greece is a network of wineries and selected hotels, restaurants and outdoor activities businesses that support and communicate the Greek cultural, gastronomic and wine tradition.

With a host of informative and entertaining events, the Wine Roads of Northern Greece play a leading role in supporting high quality Greek Wine, being at the same time a key element in the Greek Cultural Identity.

Gerovassiliou Estate, Katogi Averoff winery & boutique hotel and Porto Carras Winery & Resort, are three of the distinctive jewels of Northern Greece’s Wine Roads, represented in IWINETC 2016.

Bodega SOMMOS is architecture, design and innovation. Named by the Drink Business Magazine as the “Second Architectural Wonder of the Wine World. Located in Spain’s Somontano DO in the province of Huesca, in the north east region of Aragon, Bodega SOMMOS is one of the world´s most modern and innovative wineries. Much of the winery is built into the ground hiding much of its 30,000 square metres underneath the vineyards that surround it. Designed by J. Mariano Pascual.

Within the biodynamic estate La Raia there are several farmsteads that date back to the XIX century. Borgo Merlassino has been wisely restored to represent the fascinating example of our concept of living with and within nature. Finca Viladellops , a winery from 1877, owner of a small village surrounded by vineyards. Finca Viladellops is available to all those wishing to learn history through its typical Catalan farmhouses, medieval tower SXI, a chapel from SXII (where we hold weddings), and its 50 hectares of organic vineyards.
