Benanti

Benanti is a prestigious and long-established boutique winery that has always strived to preserve and foster the indigenous grape varieties of Mount Etna and their unique territory. The only Etnean grower to be named “Italian Winery of the Year” by Gambero Rosso, repeatedly praised by Wine Spectator, Decanter and others, it is regarded worldwide as the pioneer of fine wine making on Etna and an iconic producer able to set a new standard and inspire others. Benanti offers a true high end Wine & Culture experience on three sites on Mount Etna, in Viagrande (South-Eastern slope), Milo (East) and Rovittello (North), each with a very distinct and unique character. The 18th century estate, the barrel room, the old palmento, the cellar, breathtaking landscapes, the extinct crater, solidified lava flows, pre-phylloxera vines, selected vintages, certified sommeliers, local produce and family recipes: a truly unique, comprehensive and customized cultural experience.

Fischetti

An ancient millstone at the foot of Mount Etna, has undergone a patient restructuring and recovery by the Fischetti Family, whose aim is to restore the old charm. The enclosed vineyard is situated around 650 metres from the sea level. The traditional sapling plantation allows the exclusive manual workmanship throughout the year. Our plantation is composed exclusively by indigenous vines of the Etna Mount, which are 80 years old on average, and which present numerous ultra centennial subjects of the pre-phyloxera period. Our motto represents the taste and the quality derived from one of the most beautiful territories in the world. Our mission is to extract the best of what we dispose, and having an important experience in the field of Etna D.O.C., we point at offering something to remember and not just a mere momentary pleasure; simply an authentic and proper fragment of an admirable volcano.

Sebastiano Di Prima is a beekeeper, he belongs to the third generation of beekeepers because his grandfather tryed this job for the first time after the second world war.

Movimento Turismo del Vino Lombardia

The Wine Tourist Movement (WTM) is a nonprofit national association which was founded in 1993. In 1997 the Regional Association was founded which now comprises 70 wineries which believe in the growing importance of the wine tourism and are united by the wish to make this important area more and more qualified and known. The consolidated appointment on the last Sunday of May is Open Wineries.

Members of the Wine Tourist Movement are open to everyone who wants to spend the day surrounded by vineyards and barrels, tasting wine different production areas, guided by the tenants who are happy to introduce the world of wine to experts and amateurs.

Palmento Costanzo

The wine cellar is built around the original ancient mill structure. Our vineyards extend from a height of 600 to up 800 meters. They cover some ten hectares of terraces surrounded by dry stone walls made from the local lava. We grow our vines in the local tradition, with the branches supported by chestnut poles. The terraces stand on the north face of the Etna volcano.

Tornatore

The farming activity of the Tornatore Wine firm is based on ownership and direct control of a capital company that owns 60 hectares of land located in the area of Castiglione di Sicilia and other 40 hectares directly owned.
The lands cultivations consist in about 46 hectares of vineyards, 8 hectares of olive grove, and 5 hectares of hazelnut trees; the rest is in process of renovation. Tornatore vineyards are now the largest vineyard by extension of Etna DOC production area. The Tornatore vineyards are located in many different districts: among them the
prestigious districts of Crasà, Pietrarizzo, Malpasso, Pietramarina, Torre Guarino, Carranco and Trimarchisa, all in the town of Castiglione di Sicilia. The altitude varies from 550 to 700 meters above sea level and the age ranges
from 5 to 30 years for the reds, and 5 years for whites. The vineyards have been recently renovated in order to further improve the quality standards, and to keep up the strong link with the territory and the wine-making
traditions (a high plant density, and a strictly native variety choice). It has been kept a large number of plants per hectare (about 6,000) and was chosen the cordon pruned with 3/4 spurs. The structure of the vineyards are almost made with espaliers with 2,20 m rows distance, and 0,80 m plant distance. The grapevines cultivated are those provided by the Native Sicilian Wines Product Specifications of DOC Etna Wines. In particular: - Red grape Nerello Mascalese and Nero Cappuccio - White grape Carricante and Catarratto.

Venikos

The company “Venikos – welfare, wine, gastronomy” was founded in 2014. From the beginning, one of the goals was contributing into turning Nemea and all the surrounding area of the Peloponnese, into a well-known wine tourism destination.

Starting from the vineyards of Nemea, with the famous indigenous grape variety Agiorgitiko, Nikos Bouzinelos and Dominik Brun have established a network of wine makers, food production units, restaurants and hotels, as well as touristic agencies, all united by the philosophy of a high quality, sustainable and alternative form of tourism.

Based on this growing network, Venikos organizes wine tours, seminars and events for winelovers but also wine professionals. The wine tours offered, are tailor-made to the customer's requirements. The focus is on modern Greek wine and the innovative winemakers of the region, but always in connection to high gastronomy, archeology and local culture, as well as to the beautiful landscape of the Peloponnese.
